Not hard to get inNov 12 2004Chemical Engineering
Not hard to get in. 2/3rds of your admissions is based on your GPA and 1/3rd on your SATs. Regardless of what they say, I don't think they really look at extra-cirruculars, essays, cirriculum difficulty (Although you will thank yourself for taking and getting AP Credit in the long run) or letters of reccomendations

In State: Have at least a 3.5 and a 1200 on your SATS. It's a bit tougher out of state
SAT: 1370 Male

It isn't that hard to get inOct 25 2004Undecided
It isn't that hard to get in. Just try to do your best in high school and pull a decent grade on the SATs. Take honors and AP courses if they're available to you. Definitely involve yourself in lots of extracurriculars.
SAT: 1300 Female
I got 1240 on mySep 03 2004Electrical Engineering
I got 1240 on my SATs, I graduated Valedictorian of my class, and I filled out an application. Got in no problem.

BUT, a lot of the people here (just judging on the way they act), couldn't have POSSIBLY been smart in high school. If you have 1100 on your SATs and have a GPA of 3.0, you should be FINE getting into UP.

Just have your checkbook ready...
SAT: 1240 Male

Take honors classes in high school, get involved inSep 03 2004Geography and Geosciences
Take honors classes in high school, get involved in some activities you enjoy, try to get a good sat score if you want to get into u park.
SAT: 1460 Female
If you go to high school in PA youSep 03 2004Communications
If you go to high school in PA you basically have to really screw up to not get into a Penn State branch campus. To get to main as a freshman you should have good grades, a decent SAT score and some amount of extracurricular activities. Also, be open to starting early (in a summer session). You're more likely to get to main campus then and the classes are really easy.
SAT: 1420 Female
